Are dental implants painful?
You’ll be given a local anaesthetic so you don’t feel any pain during your dental implant surgery. Once the treatment is complete and the anaesthetic has worn off, you may experience some discomfort and swelling. This can be managed with over-the-counter painkillers like paracetamol and ibuprofen. Where necessary, it’s possible to arrange for a general anaesthetic for larger procedures such as full mouth rehabilitation or advanced bone grafting.
