Can an ultrasound affect my fertility or interfere with any treatments I’m having?
No. A gynaecological ultrasound is completely safe and will not affect your fertility or interfere with any current or future fertility treatments. The scan uses sound waves, not radiation, so it does not harm the ovaries, womb, or eggs. At Welbeck, your consultant will always take into account any ongoing treatment when planning your scan.
