Can I stop my antihistamines once I start omalizumab?

While omalizumab often reduces symptoms significantly, your consultant will usually advise you to continue taking antihistamines for the initial part of your treatment. This helps prevent flare-ups while the omalizumab takes effect. After reviewing your progress, your specialist may gradually reduce or stop other medications if it’s safe to do so.
