When cared for properly, dental implants can last a very long time, with many lasting 15 years or more. Like with any prosthesis, revision may be needed during its lifetime, and ongoing care with your dentist and hygienist is recommended. Equally, crowns and dentures are separate fixtures, which may require replacement due to wear and tear.
