How long does it take to recover from trigger finger surgery?

After trigger finger surgery, you can expect to move your finger straight away. You’ll need to keep your hand elevated for a period of time after your surgery. Full movement usually returns within 2 weeks, and complete recovery takes around 4 to 6 weeks. If you have a sedentary job, such as a desk job, you may be able to return to work within a few days, but if you have a manual job, you may need to take up to 4 weeks off work.
