Should women over 70 be screened?

Once you reach the age of 71, you’ll no longer receive NHS breast screening invites. It's important to continue to be breast aware at this age, and you can still request mammograms on the NHS every 3 years if you want them.

We offer enhanced breast screening to all women over 40, and recommend that mammograms be done at least every 18 months.
