When should I see a doctor for haemorrhoids?

Make an appointment with a consultant if:

• your haemorrhoids are getting worse or not getting better after 7 days of home treatment

• your haemorrhoids keep coming back 

• you have severe pain or bleeding from your bottom 

• you have other symptoms, such as a change in your bowel habits, weight loss, or a fever
