About Antonio Creta
Dr Antonio Creta is a consultant cardiologist specialising in heart rhythm disorders (cardiac electrophysiology). He offers state-of-the-art treatment for a wide range of arrhythmias, including catheter ablation and pacemaker or defibrillator implantation. He serves as Clinical Governance Lead for the Department of Cardiac Electrophysiology at Barts Heart Centre.
He graduated with distinction from Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome and completed advanced training at the world-renowned Barts Heart Centre, where he now practices. He performs a high volume of procedures each year, including catheter ablation for a wide range of heart rhythm disorders, as well as pacemaker and defibrillator implantation. He also serves as Clinical Governance Lead for the department of Cardiac Electrophysiology at Bart's. Dr Creta offers advanced treatments using cutting-edge technologies such as pulse field ablation, leadless pacemakers, and 3D cardiac mapping. By utilising state-of-the-art techniques, he performs many procedures without the use of X-rays, helping to minimise radiation exposure for patients.
In addition to his arrhythmia expertise, Dr Creta also focuses on preventive cardiology, helping patients to manage high blood pressure, raised cholesterol, and other cardiovascular risk factors to maintain long-term heart health.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr Creta completed a research doctorate studying atrial fibrillation in patients with diabetes and holds a Master’s degree in Health Economics from the London School of Economics. His research has been widely published, and he has contributed to the European Cardiac Arrhythmia Society’s guidelines on atrial fibrillation ablation.

Yes. You can arrange an appointment for a family member, or someone you care for, just let us know when you get in touch. We’ll need their details and consent to complete the booking, unless you're their legal guardian or have power of attorney.
Your first consultation includes a detailed discussion of your symptoms, medical history, and lifestyle factors, followed by a thorough examination. It’s helpful if you can bring the results of any previous investigations with you, as well as a list of your current medications.
