Dr Chris Duhovic

Dr Chris Duhovic is a Consultant Dermatologist who has expertise in managing a variety of dermatological conditions, but has a particular interest in patch testing for the detection of allergic contact dermatitis. He has over 10 years' experience in patch testing, having established and continuing to lead the cutaneous allergy service at Whittington Health NHS Trust in North London. He has also held the position of Lead Clinician for Dermatology at the Whittington since 2019.

Dr Duhovic is able to patch test to an extensive range of contact allergens, and all bookings include a detailed initial consultation to determine which allergens will be tested. Following the final patch test reading, there is a personalised consultation for the discussion of results, their potential relevance and guidance on allergen avoidance.

Dr Duhovic graduated from the University of Auckland Medical School in New Zealand and continued his medical training and dermatology training in the United Kingdom. In 2015 he was awarded the Registrar's Prize for best presentation in the Dermatology section at the prestigious Royal Society of Medicine. He completed his Dermatology training in Kent and was admitted to the Specialist Register as a Consultant Dermatologist in 2016.

Dr Duhovic has a passion for teaching, having completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Healthcare and Biomedical Education from St George's University of London. He is Dermatology Teaching Lead for undergraduate medical students at University College London, where he also holds an Honorary Clinical Lectureship. He is also local Training Programme Director for doctors in training. He has publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and regularly participates in clinical research. In 2019 Dr Duhovic was admitted to the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of London. He is a member of the British Association of Dermatologists, British Society for Cutaneous Allergy, and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology.
