About Freidoon Keshavarzi
Dr Freidoon (Freddie) Keshavarzi completed his cardiology training in one of the UK's most reputable centres; Oxford and Yorkshire Deaneries. In 2015, Freddie obtained a CCT in general cardiology, with interventional cardiology as his subspecialty.
Dr Keshavarzi then accomplished his fellowship in advanced interventional/structural cardiology at one of the worlds most recognised cardiological centres, Kings College Hospital in London. Freddie gained advanced expertise in cutting-edge cardiac structural intervention keyhole procedures, including trans-catheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI).
Currently, Dr Keshavarzi is a Consultant Cardiologist and is the lead for the catheterisation lab at Manchester University Hospitals Manchester Royal Infirmary and Wythenshawe Hospital. Freddie also holds an honorary position at the University of Manchester as an Honorary Senior Lecturer. As a well-trained cardiologist, Freddie has the expertise and up to-date knowledge in all aspects of general and interventional cardiology.
Freddie's subspecialty skills are in complex coronary angioplasty including chronic total occlusion CTO as well as keyhole cardiac valve procedures.
Since being appointed as a consultant interventional cardiologist, Dr Keshavarzi has been amongst the highest volume operators nationally in the field of coronary angioplasties, with excellent outcomes.
Dr Keshavarzi is the inventor of a number of novel cardiac devices and is currently undertaking the research projects and planned animal phase of implanting innovative cardiac devices in collaboration with University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University. He has published widely in the field of interventional and structural cardiology with several publications in international journals.
Dr Keshavarzi's top priority has always been to maintain a first class, patient centred approach in order to guarantee the highest level of care in a timely manner.
