About Jessica Baron

Dr Jessica Baron is an experienced General Practitioner with a specialist interest in women’s health, menopause and hormone care. She has worked as a GP for 34 years, including 20 years spent practising in France and Belgium, and has specialised in women’s health for 20 years.

Her clinical interests include menopause and hormone replacement therapy (HRT), contraception, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), post-reproductive health and women’s health more broadly. She is committed to providing personalised and supportive care, helping women understand their symptoms and make informed decisions about the treatment options available to them.

Dr Baron is the Women’s Health Lead at her practice and has established and runs NHS menopause, coil and contraception clinics. Alongside her clinical work, she has a strong interest in medical education and teaches sessions covering menopause, HRT, sexual health and family planning within a General Practice setting.

She holds a number of postgraduate qualifications in women’s and reproductive health. These include the Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (DFSRH), the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare Certificate in Menopause Care, the Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRCOG), and a Letter of Competence in Intrauterine Techniques. She is also a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners and the British Menopause Society.

Dr Baron has particular insight into the challenges women can experience during the menopause transition, including the impact that symptoms can have in the workplace and on everyday quality of life. She is passionate about making the menopause transition as manageable as possible and about improving knowledge and understanding of menopause care for future generations.

Having spent many years working in France and Belgium, Dr Baron is also able to provide consultations in French.

We aim to offer appointments as quickly as possible, and many services have same-day or next-day availability. Waiting times vary depending on the appointment type, specialty, and consultant availability, but our team will always offer the earliest suitable appointment.

Yes. You can arrange an appointment for a family member, or someone you care for, just let us know when you get in touch. We’ll need their details and consent to complete the booking, unless you're their legal guardian or have power of attorney.

Your first consultation includes a detailed discussion of your symptoms, medical history, and lifestyle factors, followed by a thorough examination. It’s helpful if you can bring the results of any previous investigations with you, as well as a list of your current medications. Come with a comfortably full bladder so you can provide a urine sample if requested.
