About Khushboo Sinha

Dr Khushboo Sinha is a consultant dermatologist at St John’s Institute of Dermatology, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, specialising in the diagnosis, treatment and long-term management of skin cancer, including melanoma, basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. She is clinical lead of the South East London Tertiary Specialist Melanoma Service, overseeing specialist care for patients with complex melanoma.

Dr Sinha’s career in skin cancer has been shaped by experience across some of the UK’s leading cancer centres. She worked in haemato-oncology and melanoma at The Royal Marsden and The Christie in Manchester before completing a dedicated post-CCT fellowship in skin cancer at St John’s Institute of Dermatology. This specialist training provided extensive experience across the skin cancer pathway, from the assessment of suspicious lesions and early diagnosis to surgical management, complex cases and long-term surveillance.

Her clinical approach combines evidence-based medicine with personalised, patient-centred care. She believes that exceptional skin cancer care extends beyond treating an individual lesion, encompassing prevention, early detection, thoughtful treatment decisions and continuity throughout the patient journey. Her practice is guided by a commitment to skin preservation, sun protection and maintaining long-term skin health.

Dr Sinha has a particular interest in melanoma, high-risk patients, inherited predisposition to melanoma and skin cancer, and skin cancer in immunocompromised patients, including organ transplant recipients. She also has experience in supportive dermato-oncology, helping patients manage cutaneous immune-related adverse effects arising from cancer immunotherapy. She supports them through treatment-related skin toxicities, working collaboratively with their oncology teams to optimise skin health and support ongoing cancer treatment.

Dr Sinha is actively involved in skin cancer research and clinical trials, seeking to translate scientific advances into better prevention strategies, more effective treatments and improved patient outcomes.

Alongside her clinical work, Dr Sinha is course director and honorary senior lecturer for the Clinical Dermatology MSc at King’s College London. She is committed to postgraduate medical education and the development of future dermatologists, and serves as honorary secretary of the British Society for Skin Care in the Immunocompromised.

She offers comprehensive skin cancer care, guiding patients from prevention and diagnosis through treatment and lifelong surveillance, with specialist expertise, continuity and a thoughtful approach to preserving healthy skin.
