About Nina Wilson

Dr Nina Wilson is known as “The Women’s Medic”. Her clinical practice is dedicated to improving women’s whole-body health, from perimenopause, menopause and period problems to long-term cardiovascular, metabolic and bone health.

Nina trained in medicine at two of the UK’s leading academic institutions, the universities of Oxford and Cambridge. She is an experienced GP specialising in women’s health and is accredited to the highest level by the British Menopause Society. She is also a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners and teaches on the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare’s specialist menopause module. She regularly travels internationally to present her work and learn from global experts, ensuring that her clinical practice remains informed by the latest evidence and developments in women’s healthcare.

Outside the clinic, Nina is a global advocate for women’s health. She collaborates with leading international experts, governments and healthcare systems to help shape the future of women’s care. In 2026, she delivered the Global Women’s Health Summit, bringing together world-class speakers to increase understanding of sex differences in health among UK healthcare leaders and policymakers. She has appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour and is frequently invited to speak about menopause and women’s health for national and international organisations.

Nina founded One Woman Health to help close the women’s health gap. She saw too many women confused by changes in their bodies and struggling to have their symptoms recognised or access the right care. Their experiences reflect a wider inequality. Medicine has historically treated the male body as its reference point, leaving important gaps in the understanding and treatment of women’s health.

Her work is founded on the principle that women can—and should—receive better care now. It offers a different approach: a space in which women are listened to, taken seriously and cared for as whole individuals. By combining clinical expertise with time, empathy and clear explanations, Nina helps women understand their bodies, make informed decisions and take control of their health with confidence.

Before founding One Woman Health to pursue mission-driven medicine, Nina followed a successful career at the forefront of healthcare leadership,as Clinical Advisor to NHS Chief Executive and Chief Medical Officer for Livi, Europe’s largest online healthcare provider and the first digital healthcare service to be rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission.
