
About Owais Kadwani
Dr Owais Kadwani qualified from University College London Medical school with distinction in Clinical Science and Clinic Practice. He trained in Respiratory Medicine in the North West London deanery including The Royal Brompton, Hammersmith and St Mary's Hospitals. He completed a fellowship in pleural disease at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Trust in 2020.
He was appointed as a consultant in Respiratory and General Medicine at Guy's and St Thomas’ Hospital NHS trust where he leads the pleural service. He has sub-speciality interest in thoracic ultrasound, pleural disease, pleural procedures and bronchoscopy. His other clinical work includes general respiratory, general medicine and medical high dependency unit.
Dr Kadwani is a primary investigator in several trials for pleural disease. He regularly trains junior colleagues in thoracic ultrasound, pleural interventions and respiratory disease. His team have presented their work at national and international conferences. He is a member of the British Thoracic Society and the European Respiratory Society.
