About Simon C Harvey
Simon C Harvey is a Consultant and registered specialist in Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology. He is ‘dual qualified’ in medicine (MBBS) and dentistry (BDS) and legally trained (MA, Medical Law). Simon completed specialist training (CCST) in the London Deanery and is an NHS consultant at Queen Victoria Hospital, Sussex, honorary NHS consultant at University College Hospital London and consultant privately at One Welbeck, London. He sits on advisory panels for The Royal College of Radiologists (RCR), The Medical Defence Union (The MDU) and The Dental Defence Union (The DDU).
His subspecialty clinical interests are dentoalveolar CBCT and maxillofacial interventional radiology. He has performed thousands of salivary procures such as fluoroscopic guided basket retrieval of stones, salivary endoscopy, fluoroscopic balloon dilation of structures, deep gland irrigations and sialograms. He has performed thousands ultrasound guided procedures including core biopsy, fine needle biopsy, cyst aspiration and botox muscle paralysis. He treats adults and children with these conditions.
He has written or contributed to four books on these topics and authored more than a dozen peer reviewed articles on dental & maxillofacial imaging or legal analysis.
He is a passionate educator and has been employed in higher education for 15 years at leading universities including King’s College London, University of Birmingham and University of Sheffield.

It’s helpful if you can bring the results of any previous investigations with you, as well as a list of your current medications. Come with a comfortably full bladder so you can provide a urine sample if requested.
