About Christiana Laban
Miss Chrissie Laban is a consultant oncoplastic breast surgeon with a BSc, MRCS, MD, and FRCS. She graduated from St Bartholomew’s Medical School in 1996 and was awarded an MD for research into breast cancer cell growth, which led to multiple national and international presentations and publications.
She completed her surgical training in Wessex and subsequently undertook a year as a senior registrar in oncoplastic breast surgery in Edinburgh. She has worked as a locum Breast Consultant Surgeon in Nottingham and Bournemouth, specialising in oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery.
Miss Laban collaborates with local plastic surgeons to perform mastectomy and DIEP breast reconstruction. Her clinical interests include breast surgery for benign and malignant disease, oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery, mastectomy, DIEP breast reconstruction, breast reduction and breast uplift (mastopexy).
She is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons, the Medical Defence Union and the Association of Breast Surgeons.
