About Matthew Stodell

Mr Matthew Stodell is a consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon with a specialist interest in the surgical management of skin cancer. He was appointed as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Royal London Hospital, Bart’s Health NHS Trust in 2018. He is a core member of Bart’s Health Specialist Skin cancer Multi-Disciplinary Team and is the Clinical Governance Lead for Plastic Surgery.

He undertook his specialist Plastic Surgery training across several hospitals in London before being awarded the prestigious international Poche Surgical Fellowship in the Melanoma Institute Australia, Sydney. Furthermore, he has undertaken specialist cosmetic and aesthetic training on the Wellington Aesthetic Fellowship in London.

He was formerly Educational Lead in Plastic Surgery at Bart’s Health and maintains a keen academic interest, regularly attending educational conferences and mentoring trainee surgeons.

His surgical interests include the management of skin malignancies, benign skin lesions, scars and general plastic surgery.

Come with a comfortably full bladder so you can provide a urine sample if requested.
