Mr Pasha Normahani

Mr Pasha Normahani is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon at Welbeck Heart Health, specialising in the assessment and minimally invasive treatment of varicose veins and venous disease. He also holds NHS consultant posts at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

He provides care for patients with visible varicose veins, recurrent varicose veins, thread veins, aching or heavy legs, ankle swelling, venous eczema, skin changes and venous leg ulcers. His approach begins with careful assessment and, where appropriate, duplex ultrasound imaging to identify the underlying pattern of venous reflux and ensure treatment is tailored to each patient's symptoms, anatomy and goals.

At Welbeck, Mr Normahani offers a comprehensive range of modern minimally invasive treatments for varicose veins, including endovenous laser ablation, ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy and phlebectomy. He aims to provide clear, practical advice on the benefits and limitations of each option, including expected recovery, recurrence risk and alternatives to treatment.

Alongside his venous practice, Mr Normahani manages the full spectrum of arterial and venous vascular conditions. His NHS work includes peripheral arterial disease, diabetic foot disease, non-healing wounds and complex limb-preservation care. This broader vascular expertise is particularly valuable for patients whose leg symptoms may be due to more than one cause, such as vein disease combined with diabetes, poor circulation or wound-healing problems.

Mr Normahani qualified from Imperial College School of Medicine in 2012 and completed his postgraduate surgical training in London. He was appointed as a prestigious NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow and NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer, and completed a PhD at Imperial College London focused on improving the diagnosis of peripheral arterial disease. He also holds an MSc with Distinction and Dean's Prize from Imperial College London, and an MBA from Imperial Business School supported by an Imperial Excellence Scholarship.

He remains actively involved in research, innovation and service development, with academic interests in vascular diagnostics, diabetic foot disease, limb preservation, health technology and personalised vascular care. His consultation style is calm, thorough and patient-centred.
