About Patrick Bose
Mr Patrick Bose is an experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with specialist expertise in reproductive medicine, menopause and women’s hormonal health. He graduated from Charing Cross/Imperial Medical School in 1995 and subsequently undertook specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology.
He gained a PhD in Reproductive Medicine while working for the World Health Organisation and has maintained a strong interest in academic and clinical research throughout his career. He has published extensively, has an active clinical research portfolio and continues to collaborate with the University of Reading.
Mr Bose trained under Professor Nick Panay in menopausal health at Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea & Westminster Hospitals. This experience contributed to his specialist interest in the assessment and management of menopause and hormonal health concerns. He now works at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading alongside his work with Hormone Health.
His clinical work encompasses reproductive and hormonal health across different stages of a woman’s life. At Hormone Health, he provides personalised, evidence-based care and is involved in the management of conditions including menopause and perimenopause, menstrual and hormonal disturbances, PCOS/PMOS and other reproductive health concerns. Hormone Health also identifies Mr Bose as a specialist involved in supporting women with bone health and DEXA assessment.
Alongside his clinical and research work, Mr Bose has a strong commitment to medical education. He is actively involved in teaching, training and examining both doctors and midwives. He is also a Trust Board member of Baby Lifeline.
Mr Bose believes strongly in an individualised approach to medicine. His aim is to work collaboratively with patients, discussing their concerns and treatment options to enable informed decisions and provide a high standard of personalised medical care.

Frequently asked questions
Yes, but only for certain services. Some consultations, assessments, and treatments can be booked directly, while others require a GP or specialist referral. Please check the relevant service page for guidance, and contact the centre if you’re unsure.
We aim to offer appointments as quickly as possible, and many services have same-day or next-day availability. Waiting times vary depending on the appointment type, specialty, and consultant availability, but our team will always offer the earliest suitable appointment.
Yes. You can arrange an appointment for a family member, or someone you care for, just let us know when you get in touch. We’ll need their details and consent to complete the booking, unless you're their legal guardian or have power of attorney.
Your first consultation includes a detailed discussion of your symptoms, medical history, and lifestyle factors, followed by a thorough examination. It’s helpful if you can bring the results of any previous investigations with you, as well as a list of your current medications. Come with a comfortably full bladder so you can provide a urine sample if requested.
