About Helen Staley
Miss Helen Staley is a Consultant Gynaecologist at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, where she is currently the Lead of the Colposcopy service Trust-wide.
She graduated from Imperial College London and completed her obstetric and gynaecology training in Northwest London, specialising in cancer diagnostics.
Miss Staley is a BSCCP accredited Colposcopist and an accredited trainer and has a specialist interest in pre-cancer of the cervix and HPV associated disease. She is member of the Chelsea Anogenital Neoplasia Service multidisciplinary team, a service which manages HPV related conditions affecting the cervix, vagina, vulva and anal canal.
She has excellent communication skills and her compassionate nature immediately puts patients at ease. Miss Staley is passionate about providing individualised and personalised care and her latest academic interests include improving patient knowledge surrounding HPV infection, methods to increase cervical screening uptake and optimising the patient experience in cervical screening and colposcopy.

Your first consultation includes a detailed discussion of your symptoms, medical history, and lifestyle factors, followed by a thorough examination. It’s helpful if you can bring the results of any previous investigations with you, as well as a list of your current medications. Come with a comfortably full bladder so you can provide a urine sample if requested.
