Many biological and environmental factors can cause male infertility, including:
sperm problems – malformed sperm, low sperm count (oligospermia) and the absence of sperm in your semen (azoospermia)
genetic disorders – Klinefelter syndrome and myotonic dystrophy
certain medical conditions – diabetes, some autoimmune diseases, and cystic fibrosis
infections – epididymitis, orchitis, and some sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
varicoceles (swollen veins in the testicles)
