Paediatric allergy conditions & symptoms we treat

Children and young people can experience allergies in many different ways, from mild but persistent symptoms to more complex allergic problems. Our consultants provide specialist care for the full spectrum of allergy conditions.

Paediatric allergy tests & treatments

Your child’s care begins with a detailed consultation, including a full history of symptoms, triggers, and patterns over time. If required, all tests and treatments take place under one roof for maximum convenience and minimal disruption to you and your child’s routine.

    Frequently asked questions

To help the specialist assess your child fully, it’s helpful to bring:

    • a list of your child’s current medications, including creams and antihistamines

    • any previous allergy test results

    • photos of any skin symptoms over time, if they fluctuate or only appear at certain times

    • details of possible triggers (foods, products, animals, environmental exposures)

    • a record of past reactions, flare patterns, or known allergies

    • a favourite toy, book, or snack to help your child feel comfortable

If your child uses specific creams or skincare products, bringing them can also be useful.

Our specialists are experienced in working with children and will ensure the appointment is child‑friendly.

    A typical consultation includes:

    • a conversation about symptoms, triggers, and any family history

    • a gentle examination

    • discussion about your child’s routine and any previous treatments

    • reviewing any photos or prior test results

    • planning further tests if needed (such as skin prick tests, patch tests, blood tests)

    • creating an individualised treatment plan

Your child can sit on your lap during the examination if it helps them feel at ease.
